Great car-camping companion
I replaced a small dual battery system I used for camping over the course of a decade with the River Pro and couldn’t be happier with it.
Not only is it physically smaller and lighter than the previous solution but the 60Ah available capacity is more than my previous setup. Runs the Waeco car fridge for 48+ hours comfortably and having the USB-PD output + AC Inverter onboard for small appliances just gives the solution so much flexibility.
I also love the IOT functionality with the app, it’s a small thing but has been quite useful in the first few weeks of ownership while I’m watching the battery usage closely. One thing I would love to see in the app in the future is a short-term (eg. 24 hour) battery level over time. Detail wouldn’t need to be high, perhaps 15 or 30 minute sample rate over the course of the day. Hopefully the IOT solution could handle that level of logging?
I bought the pro as I don’t need to be able to reduce size/weight further (like the River Max can) and I’d actually prefer to have the option of more battery storage in the future although a folding solar panel would likely be my upgrade path for more power at this point.

I bought the EcoFlow RIVER Pro instead of making a significant investment for a dual battery setup in our 4WD. So far super impressed with this unit. Charges incredibly quickly and ran our Engel portable fridge for 48+ hours. Perfect for camping trips and can charge of car input. Very happy with purchase.
Money saved
We tried to have power/electricity connected to our shed and was quoted $10000-$20000 to connect. It has to be set up from the house power board and to get to the shed it had to go through a large area of sold rock plus through a creek.
The savings in buying a EcoFlow River Pro was fantastic. We set up camping lights in the studio and now we have lights, fan, music all working. Its made the use of the shed bearable during hot and cold days and so easy and quick to recharge. I have also used it around the property to run power for garden tools. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PRODUCT.
River Pro for home back up
I tested the River Pro for home back up and got 5 hours using an old 440 litre fridge and a lamp on a very hot day. The power around here doesn’t usually go out for longer than that – but it’s good to know you can double the capacity with the extra battery. It charges super-fast – although I like the slow charging mode too, which took 6.5 hours. It’s lightweight and would be perfect for camping too.
